About the role:

OpenWeb is seeking an entrepreneurial, professional communications leader to manage the execution of our communications strategy, develop narratives, and raise the public profile of our company and executive team. Through media relations and strategic communications, successful candidates will be comfortable in dynamic, high-pressure environments, working with global teams and spokespeople. Candidates must have a track record of managing communications and getting coverage in fast-growth technology companies. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading OpenWeb’s public relations and communications efforts.
  • Bring and build relationships with media, and manage a media relations agency, to deliver regular top-tier coverage.
  • Securing and managing speaking opportunities and panel appearances for executives.
  • Supporting speaker/media training to the executive team, developing talking points, and preparing them for interviews.
  • Monitoring crisis communications, external partners, and agencies.
  • Closely collaborating with the marketing team to coordinate messaging and news for cross-channel execution

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • Exceptional communications skills and the ability to find and communicate technology narratives
  • 3-5+ years of experience in communications and/or PR/Media relations for fast-growth technology companies
  • Experience in publishing/media and/or ad tech media ecosystems
  • Proven track record of successful PR agency management
  • Experience in or high exposure to internal communications, communications crises and PR/Comms risk management
  • Positive attitude, dynamic under pressure, and exceptional team-player
  • A strong propensity toward action
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Organized, diligent, and strives for excellence
