About the role:
OpenWeb is on a mission to improve the quality of online conversations and empower publishers, brands, and creators to build healthy communities. Through our suite of products — including our email monetization and audience engagement solution, we help partners strengthen direct relationships with their audiences, maximize engagement, and unlock new revenue streams.
We’re looking for a proven sales leader to help shape the future of OpenWeb’s US business. As VP of Demand Sales, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, developing strategic partnerships, and scaling our sales teams during an exciting phase of growth. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in identity, data, and digital media to drive meaningful impact—both for our business and for the broader advertising ecosystem.
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Coach the sales team to sell the full OpenWeb portfolio, including email, exclusive inventory, and additional ad solutions.
- Drive growth by expanding beyond performance marketing brands into independent and smaller agencies across markets.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with US DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360) to increase demand-side revenue.
- Leverage expertise in identity and data to shape strategy and strengthen OpenWeb’s US market position.
- Play a central role in building and scaling a direct US sales team selling across all OpenWeb offerings.
- Serve as a key contributor to OpenWeb’s US growth story, helping guide the company into its next chapter
The Skills and Experience You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience leading and scaling sales teams in digital media, ad tech, or related industries.
- Proven experience driving revenue growth across diverse client segments, including agencies and brands.
- Deep understanding of programmatic advertising, PMPs, and direct-sold digital campaigns.
- Strong existing network of decision-makers at agencies, brands, and demand partners (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360).
- Expertise in data identity landscape - strong plus!
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative, team-first approach.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to play a hands-on role in building OpenWeb’s US business.
- Must be able to join us in our SoHo office 3x a week.
What You'll Get:
Our VP of Demand Sales compensation package includes an annual salary ranging between $200,000 - $250,000 (based on candidate's experience and skill set). Additionally, this role is eligible for uncapped quarterly commissions, equity and benefits including:
