Pam Wasserstein is the president and board vice chair of Vox Media, the modern media company, where she oversees the New York Magazine suite of brands and Vox, and drives business strategy and enterprise partnerships at a diversified media company that includes subscriptions, advertising, generative AI licensing, ecommerce, podcasts, and studios. Prior to its 2019 merger with Vox Media, she had been the CEO of New York Media (since 2016), executing a digital transformation for the New York Magazine brands, expanding advertising, enhancing the product experience, and launching digital subscription and affiliate ecommerce businesses. Before becoming CEO, she served as co-chair and head of strategy. Wasserstein received a 2018 Spirit of ABNY Award recognizing distinguished service to New York City, and was named to Crain’s New York’s 40 Under 40 class of 2017. She has spoken at SXSW, Advertising Week and Code Media, among other venues. Prior to joining New York Media, Wasserstein worked at Tribeca Enterprises, most recently as vice president, corporate development. Before that she worked at Apollo Global Management, the private equity firm, where she evaluated potential investments and managed existing portfolio companies, and as a corporate lawyer at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz LLP. She is an advocate for the media industry, serving as a board member and chair emeritus at DCN and a board member at N/MA. She is also a board member at the Charles
