About the role:
OpenWeb is dedicated to empowering publishers with innovative solutions that drive engagement and foster thriving communities. Now, we’re expanding our advertiser offerings and are seeking a strategic, visionary, and execution-driven SVP of Sales to lead and scale our advertiser sales team. This executive will own the go-to-market strategy for OpenWeb’s advertiser-facing business, with a focus on building deep relationships with brand marketers and media agencies, driving revenue growth, and positioning OpenWeb as a premium environment for safe, brand-suitable advertising.
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Lead the development and execution of OpenWeb’s advertiser sales strategy, focused on premium direct-sold campaigns and strategic partnerships.
- Build and scale a high-performing sales organization targeting brands, agencies, and demand partners.
- Establish OpenWeb as a key player in the digital advertising ecosystem, differentiating our contextual, community-driven offerings from traditional media buys.
- Drive multimillion-dollar revenue growth by identifying and nurturing strategic enterprise relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of high-performing sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous development
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Partner Success to ensure advertiser needs are understood and prioritized.
- Represent OpenWeb at key industry events, conferences, and client engagements, serving as a thought leader and evangelist for our mission.
- Use data to drive forecasting, pipeline development, and performance optimization across the advertiser sales funnel.
The Skills and Experience You Bring:
- Experience building and leading high-growth, high-performing sales teams in the ad tech or media space.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth as both an executive leader and a high-performing individual contributor.
- Brings a robust and active network of senior decision-makers across top brands, holding companies, independent agencies and Fortune 500 brands.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic landscape, brand safety/suitability, and contextual targeting.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and collaborative environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Must be able to join us in our SoHo office 2x a week.
What You'll Get:
Our SVP of Sales compensation package includes an annual salary ranging between $245,000 - $275,000 (based on candidate's experience and skill set). Additionally, this role is eligible for uncapped quarterly commissions, equity, and benefits including:
