About the role:

Hive Media is looking for a Office & HR Coordinator who thrives in a fun, dynamic, fast-paced environment. This person will manage the office's day-to-day operations for an office of thirty employees, provide HR support to multiple departments, manage payroll and cultivate an inclusive and collaborative culture. They must be organized, self-motivated, and able to take on various impactful tasks and projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Champion Hive Media Group’s core values and company culture. 
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere in the office- this position will require you to come into the office 3 times a week.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between property management, third-party vendors, caterers, and event coordination. 
  • Manage the office administration, including, but not limited to, tracking expenses, purchase requests, beverage/snack inventory, budgets for events and perks, creating office KPIs, running office errands, etc. 
  • Work cross-functionally to oversee and manage the planning and execution of various company and team events (Leadership & employees’ offsites, Holiday parties, monthly happy hours, industry events, cross-functional team lunches, Lunch & Learns, etc)
  • Coordinate the purchasing and delivery of employee gifts (new hires, anniversaries, weddings, baby gifts)
  • Be the go-to person for communicating and driving various cultural initiatives and office functions
  • Partner with the People, IT, and Ops teams to build and maintain a world-class onboarding process and employee experience, and support the teams with processes and systems administration.
  • Support offboarding activities for exiting team members, including scheduling exit interviews, sending communications about last-day details, and summarizing exit interview data.
  • Work with our finance team on basic AR/AP and expense reporting and tracking.

What you’ll bring:

  • Prior office management experience working with HR, Finance, and senior executives within a fun, energetic startup environment
  • Prior experience managing any outsourced services (ie, porter, cleaning services, repair services, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of new employee onboarding best practices and in building onboarding processes with HR teams
  • A passion for building collaborative and inviting work cultures and planning awesome company events
  • Experience in expense reporting, travel management, and supporting executive functions.
  • A problem-solving mindset and a proactive drive to take on new projects, and a team-first mentality.
  • High sense of creativity!

Nice to Have:

  • Prior administrative experience at a tech company.
  • Good understanding of California’s regulations & mandates 
  • A good sense of Humor!

What You'll Get:

The salary range for this job is estimated at $60,000 to $70,000 per year. This takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education. Additionally, this role is eligible for benefits, including:
